From there, I moved into a large logistics organisation, where I spent seven years learning as much as I could about transformation, continuous improvement, leadership behaviour and how change really happens inside organisations.
I observed leaders closely – some who inspired me deeply, and others who showed me the impact leadership can have when people, communication and wellbeing are not fully understood. I connected with people, shared my passion, asked questions and kept learning, even when some people doubted me.
Around this time, I also had a dream of working with luxury brands. I wanted to understand what leadership, performance and culture looked like in high-standard environments. Over several years and different roles, I had around 15 interviews with the same brand. I never gave up.
Eventually, that dream became real, and I secured a role in aerospace with a luxury brand. Over time, I went on to work across several luxury, manufacturing and engineering environments, continuing to focus on transformation, people, performance and change.
In 2007, I started my BSc Psychology degree. Even then, I was fascinated by what helps people perform well at work without their wider lives being negatively affected. My research explored the effects of home-life balance on employee engagement — an early indication of a theme that would continue throughout my career and studies. I finally graduated in 2012.
In 2015, I completed my Coaching and Mentoring Certificate, I wanted to deepen my understanding of how to support people more effectively — learning how to listen, ask better questions and create the space for people to think, reflect and find their own way forward.
In 2019, I began my MSc in Applied Positive Psychology and Coaching Psychology. After a much longer journey than expected, I finally graduated in 2025. My research returned to a remarkably similar question, this time exploring the impact of group coaching on an individual’s mental toughness within an organisational setting.
There has always been a clear thread.
From home-life balance and employee engagement to coaching, mental toughness, leadership and performance, my academic and professional journey has consistently focused on understanding what helps people perform, grow and achieve — without losing sight of their wellbeing.
Today, that same purpose continues through my work. Across more than 20 years, my career has shaped my confidence, strengthened my resilience and deepened my passion for supporting ambitious people, leaders and organisations to create meaningful, sustainable success.
